Olney has played 35 games! Seems excessive and high likelihood of overuse injuries.

Looking at their pitch count from this past weekend it looks like this Ren 116, Hunter 90, Sawyer 78, Patrick 71, Xavier 40, Parker 13, CJ 31
at the triple crown it was Hunter 100, Sawyer 116, Patrick 87, Xavier 94, Parker 24, Ren 43
both tournaments were two day events.

They have win a win over Severna Park. Severna Park has wins over other teams. Which gives a common opponents nod over certain teams. Mid-Atlantic Shockers-Hendricks plays a tough schedule. Their losses are to tough competitors. Their losses are to Gambrills, VA Stars x 2, and Tri-State Arsenal. What am I missing that you know?

They might be a top notch team, just not sure how to know for sure. It's early in the season a month from now we will probably have a better understanding. Virginia Stars are good not great, they are better at the older showcase level. Gambrills is really solid. I have the following teams in front of Hendricks shockers team: Olney, Gambrils, BCC Big train, Mid - Atlantic Red Sox, Mid- MD United, HCYP Blue, Williamsport Angels and Elkridhe Orange after that Shockers might be in next group with Severna Park, Calvet Tide, HCYP White etc.. I certainly don't know everything lol

I like your list and wouldn’t have an issue with it. You’re right about it being early and I may have them too high too early.

DHicks, In my opinion, your list is more accurate. My list is pretty close to yours...
1. Olney - I don't think this is debatable. They make every routine play, throw strikes. Kids at the top put together good at bats, kids in the middle drive them in and kids at the bottom find a way to get on base. They seem to know how to win and very rarely ever play a bad game. Yes, I know what people will say, BCC can beat them with their two top pitchers throwing but top to bottom, Olney is the choice.
2. BCC - Well coached and solid. With their top two pitchers they can compete with anybody. They are vulnerable to top teams when they have to go deep in their pitching rotation.
3. Mid-Atlantic Red Sox - Another well coached team. They are consistently playing top level competition. When their entire lineup is hitting, they can beat anybody in the state.
4. Gambrills - Another team that has proven over the years that they are a top 5 team. They made be down just a touch this year. At some points last year, you could make a case for a 1 or 2 ranking. They were playing that well. Regardless, solid all the way around.
5. HYCP Blue - Top 5 team for sure. Not as consistent as the other 4 but on any given day can beat any of them. Another team that do everything pretty well.
6. Elkridge Orange - When they are hitting, they can put up some big numbers. I believe the injury bug bit them a little this year, especially with pitching.
7. White Marsh - This team has me scratching my head. They have some impressive wins and some pretty bad loses. I haven't seen this team play in a year or two so I don't have much I can comment. With those mentioned wins, I'm going to put them at the 7 spot. However, this is a team that could drop or move up depending on which team shows up the rest of the year.
8. Mid-Maryland United - Tough to comment on this team as well. Solid showings against some pretty tough teams in the Fall and playing Gambrills tough this past weekend, I think they deserve a spot in the top 10. Again, another team that could raise or fall in the standings as the year progresses
9. Williamsport Angels - Improved team. Not quite as strong from top to bottom than some of the top teams. Play small ball well and aggressive on the bases. Do a good job of generating runs. Top couple of pitchers are crafty and can keep good hitting teams off-balance. Depth is a bit of a issue in my opinion.
10. Severna Park - Team that looks to hit. Can put up a lot of runs when things are clicking. I haven't seen this team play much but I'm not sure they have that 1-2 punch at the top of the pitching rotation. Like I said, I could be wrong. Just haven't seen them play enough.

HCYP won 2/3 vs Gambrills in their crab league series two weeks ago. Elkridge and White Marsh split in a recent double header. Other than that it looks good. Shockers being top 10 may be premature, but I watched them last weekend and they looked solid.

Yes, I saw HCYP beat Gambrills two out of three times. With that being said, I understand why you would rank them ahead of Gambrills. I do think that Gambrills is the better overall team. The rubber match 3rd game on Sunday was a 7-5 game. That one could have easily gone either way. But I get it, its hard to rank a team in front of another that has beat them 2 out of 3.
In my opinion, White Marsh is behind Elkridge. White Marsh split with Williamsport, Gambrills and Elkridge. In the 3 combined games they won, they outscored those opponents by 3 runs (10-9, 10-9, 10-9). However, the games they lost the scores were 12-2, 13-0, 8-2.
A team to keep your eye on is Sandy Spring. They have impressive wins against BCC, Hcyp, Va Stars and lost to Gambrills by 1.
