I know the season is still early, but looking for info on tryouts for the 2020 season 12u.. moving from South Carolina to the crouton area in June and wondering if any team have dates set yet. Thank you

Only team I know w a coach not as a parent is Calvert tide and that’s their pitching coach, their head coach still has a kid on the team.

Not sure about your age group but some Rawlings and API teams have non parent coaches.
Even teams with national affiliations have parent coaches . I know of a situation where a dad of a very average playing son started a team with a high profile affiliation and put his kid on the team.
Anyway most tryouts are in July so moving here in June shouldn’t prevent you son from trying out for several teams

Well if I was you I would steer clear of Lakeshore Graysox. In all my years of baseball I’ve never seen coaches act the way these guys act. They absolutely act like maniacs. There’s not one game I haven’t seen them screaming at kids, umps or parents and my kids been playing against them since he was 8, so the 4th season now. Never heard a positive word towards the kids. But I can tell you if they make an error or strike out looking or swing at a bad pitch strike 3, it’s the end of the world, nothing but yelling and screaming.
