and Thursday, October 29th from 3:30-6:30

Coaching Bio
Coach Rey attended Parkdale HS in Riverdale, MD and played SS, P, C, OF before graduating in 1993. He played on numerous all-star teams including the 1993 Babe Ruth Maryland State Championship Team in which he was the winning pitcher of the final game.
Coach Rey continued his playing career at Bowie State and Prince George’s Community College under coaches Jeff Palumbo and William “Bumps” Vaughn, respectively. He then transferred to Salisbury University, playing under long-time coach, Dean Deshon and Robb Disbennett. Coach Rey started at SS, 2B, P and RF during the 1996-98 seasons.
During his college career, Rey played summer league baseball for Advanced Properties of the Eastern Shore Baseball League as well as Harry’s Café of the Montgomery County Baseball buttociation.
After graduation, Coach Rey taught Physical Education in Prince George’s County Public Schools at Caesar Chavez Elementary School. During that time, he coached Varsity Baseball at Northwestern High School from 2001-2002.
In 2002, Coach Rey left Prince George’s County for Montgomery County where he taught Physical Education and Health at Key Middle School. Simultaneously, he coached Junior Varsity Baseball at Blake High School in 2003.
In 2004, Tommy Rey accepted a teaching and coaching position at Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville, MD, and is currently employed there. He coached Junior Varsity Baseball from 2004-2005. In 2006, he accepted the Varsity Baseball Coaching position and coached the team until 2016. His overall record at Paint Branch was 142-72.

2015 MCPS Coach of the Year
2015 Division Champions, Sectional Champions, and Regional Finalist
2014 Regional Semifinalist
2012 Regional Semifinalist
2009 Division Champions and Regional Finalist
2008 Division Champions and Regional Finalist
2007 Division Champions and Regional Semifinalist
In 2016, Coach Rey decided to step down from coaching High School Baseball in order to spend more time with his family and coach his son on the Olney Pirates. Below are the yearly records and of the Olney Pirates under Coach Rey:
