Any word since AA county is opening things up Feb 8th if this is a go?
How are there no bat restrictions for 13U? This is crazy a 13 year old can swing a drop 10. It’s a safety issue, many of these young men are over 6ft and weigh close to 160-180.

Any coach of a 13u team should make their players swing at least a drop 5. I think they should just swing BBCOR honestly (especially the 2025 clbutt playing 13u) and get used to actually having to be a really solid hitter to see results. If some bonehead coach wants to let his players swing a drop 8 or drop 10 at 13u, they are effing stupid and do not care about development.
I hope sports will open back up in AA county in early March when the weather gets warmer. Baseball and other non-contact sports didn't see any issues last summer/fall. They may try to put some dumb rules in place though... ump calling balls/strikes from behind the pitcher, no players in dugout, and so on
More important question- For the fellas that run the Annapolis Open. I think holding this in March is not working very well for you and you should try May or June. My son is 15 now and I think this tournament has been cancelled more years than played since our 10U season.

AACo Rec and Parks spring sports can start March 1.
I agree about moving the Open. Lake Shore finally moved their March tourney. That was never fun to play.
It’ll be interesting now for high schools. MIAA schools start spring season March 1 and now AACo has pushed back to mid April to add a competitive fall season. Big difference in playing time.
