It’s still east Cobb for one
The big tournament in Georgia was canceled. If you spoke to anyone on the team they were registered for 60/90 and the tournament eliminated that bracket.
Give 11 kids from md some props and move on
How many teams from MD are down south playing and who could beat East Cobb C?

Well since this is the first time that team played together. And speaking to a parent on the team, only 2 kids were to go over 65 pitches for the weekend, as they had been playing already, they just ran out of gas in the ship.
Congrats to them for going to a Georgia, where ball players are bred and putting up 45 runs in 5 games. Good for them for not over throwing pitchers this early in the year. They gave up a huge lead $hit happens.
East for wanna be know it all parents that probably know little to nothing and come on here and trash kids who played their A$$es off against quality competition.
Just go look at their gamechanger and look at some of their players stats. First tournament of the year in Georgia, and have 9 players hit 444 or better, 6 of which are from the Gambrills squad.
Give it a break and give them a Darn pay on the back. Don’t see any other teams from Maryland down south playing this early.
Atleast RBA is going to East Cobb this year, stop staying home playing the same Darn teams every week and challenge your players and get them ready for high school.

East Cobb Astros don’t have A, B, and C teams.
They have Orange- A++ Navy: A+ White: A
Their White team would demolish 99% of the teams in MD. Solid lineup top to bottom.
Plus- have you ever seen top tier talent play 54/80?? The pitching velocity averages 75+ (Which from 54 feet is equivalent to high 80s/low 90s) and the game moves much faster. Don’t knock it until you try it.

Good too see Gambrills patting themselves on the back like usual. It’s pretty obvious, but they will be the first ones crying about people not posting under their real names. Congrats to the boys on a great weekend.

So, I live MD, played college ball in GA. Have plenty of x-teammates still there. Here's a great comment from one of them. Lot's of people come to GA to play golf, but not all are playing Augusta. We have dog tracks too. This was a lower level travel tourney. Not a strong field. And BTW, there is a distinct difference between EC Orange, Navy, and then White. Plus 54 and 80. Why??? Because its a low level tourney and field of teams. Who cares. Maybe they went to Georgia to get away and play ball in warm weather. Maybe it was a vacay. Whatever the motivation was to play there who cares. Good for them. Fact remains this was a low level tourney and until they play the big boys don't put them up there just yet. Question is will they?? There are plenty of high level tourneys near MD. VA/NJ/NC all have great ones. Let's see where they venture next.

Most 13u teams, players and parents not thinking of the showcase-type tourneys yet. If the top tier competition found in GA is where you need to go and you have willing parents (& $$$), then it’s worthwhile.

We’re signed up for 60/90 it was canceled so played 54/80.
If you consider kids throwing 75-78mph from 54 bad competition good for you.
5 star plays at East Cobb in May
Gambrills and RBA play cap city clbuttic richmond, Probably the best tournament in this area all year.
Gambrills also plays Cap City Pittsburgh.

Here is the conversion breakdown as I've seen some say 74 equals 90 which is simply not true. Remember the equivalent speed is not the actual speed, but the reaction time comparison. 65 73 66 74 67 75 68 76 69 77 70 78 71 80 72 81 73 82 74 83 75 84 76 85 77 86 78 87 79 89 80 90

Congrats to the boys on a great weekend. The best part of this team and smartest thing they could have done was team up with 5 Star and Jimmy Peyton. If you don't know who he is, look him up. He's a great coach and knows his baseball. His connections to the best coaches in the country is top tier. I really hope Jimmy stays on with this group cause the current honeymoon period with Juan will run its course or he will move on to something shinier.

It was a bunch of AAA and AA teams... so you traveled down to GA for that? How does that make them better for HS? Would beat 99% of MD teams... Gambrills can’t even do that! I agree! The teams down south being much better than teams up in Maryland is total nonsense. Baseball here is just the same as baseball down south and anywhere else in the country. Maybe there are more showcase and more travel programs, but our teams in all age groups have been traveling down south and playing in PG, PBR, Dynamic, Etc for years and years and holding their own.
