First- was it your kid affected by the pitch count or the lack of playing time? If not then what’s it matter to you? Clearly this board is above saying anything positive. How about congrats to the players and coaches who went to one of the best tournaments in the country all year and competed against some of the best competition. Going 500 down there is pretty solid. Competing against the #3 14U team in the country losing 2-0, having a chance to push runs across several times. Does it suck to lose, yea but it also helps make better ball players and better young men. Also shows them that they can compete against the best and drives them to work harder this off season. 95 pitches in a day is not absurd by a 14 year old kid, especially the corn fed Kentucky kid you speak of. Isn’t 95 the pitch smart guideline for a pitcher at 14U? If ya don’t know yes it is that’s why that’s the max for perfect game! Oh and his dad was there along with his Kentucky Travel coach, neither of whom had an issue with the pitch count or him being in CF. He pitched one time, got the ball did his job and sat the rest of the game. Yea he struggled with walks in a pin sized zone, as if your so good at looking at gamechanger can see he’s a pitcher who never has control issues. How many times do we see a 11-12 year old throw 140 pitches and then play catcher or SS. He played CF and never had to throw past SS that game. Could he have had to make a longer throw sure, but he didn’t. Did you ever think that maybe Juan had a conversation with the player and or his parents as to his role before he went down there as to the kid who sat 3 of 4. Then say take a 9U team and make no cuts come on fellas…. Who would ever make that mistake? Who would turn down new talent? Think everyone can agree this happened a few years ago to a great team, and it hurt them in the long run.We all also know it’s impossible to keep every single parent happy from 9U through 14U. But don’t worry the 9U idea has already been spoken of and is in the works. If you were there than maybe you can talk trash? But AGAIN have the balls to stand up and put your name to what you speak. I hope your not teaching your kids to hide behind the words you speak, instead of manning up and stand behind everything that comes out your mouth. In closing people are mad at a man for providing a service as a coach, he makes money off of. Isn’t that what a job is? How many of us do stuff for free besides stalk teams Gamechanger?? Juan has made my son a better ball player, pushed him to be a better player role model to younger players, and leader on his teams. I don’t think I can ask much more. Oh and he’s got him exposure that no other coach has.

Nah - just bad parents.

Lmao you say bad parents cause they take thier kid to juan? Why so much hate? No, the insinuation that only bad parents who’s kids suck (my god, who says that) have an issue with Juan. Pretending like he’s altruistic to put Maryland on the baseball map and help kids. Plenty of other trainers and coaches; nobody gets mentioned on here like Juan. But that’s not him, it’s everybody else.

Juan got all the attention because he’s attached to the Gambrills team, the hate stemmed from that.

He has to be doing something right because nobody hates on losers. Everyone hates a winner and only losers hate in general. And with as much as you guys speak on him you drive people right to him out of curiosity. He’ll never have to pay for promotion thanks to the haters

I hate the detroit lions. They suck I hate Lamar Ball, and his claim to fame is being related to talent. Sounds like a decent comparison to Juan. Hanging on Jackson Merrill like Lamar hangs on his kids. Pretty sure Jackson would’ve done fine with or without Juan.

Not a fan of Lamar ball either but those 3 kids don’t make the NBA without all the work he put in without those boys.

Jackson has openly stated Juan changed his game, propelling him to another level.
He did wear a Palacios Baseball Clinic shirt in his interview on the local news.

Why does everyone here seem to have a bad opinion of Gambrills? Hasn't that org. been around for like 60 years?
