From what I’ve heard they picked up HCYP kids.. HCYP KIDS 😂😂. Unless they some hidden studs anyone know if they good? 🤣 The two HCYP kids are batting 3rd and 5th and starting at CF and rotating at the corners in the infield. Stop sh*t talking 13-14 year olds.. They picked up two quality severna park kids, and a kid that should have always been on Pirates. A kid from 15u GORC as well. They didn't play well, but neither did we and they took the win. Excited to play them again. Don't be salty cause your kid can't make their team.

Good weekend for Maryland baseball. Diamond Elite 12U brings home another championship to add to the long list of ships they have won over the last 3 seasons. Gambrills 13U brings home their first ship on the big diamond. API 14U had another great weekend winning a great championship game over the NEW Olney Pirates winning 8-7. API outscored their Opponents 34-7, not allowing a run til the championship, with an impressive no no in the semis against the Garret Timber Rattlers. Mid-Atlantic Dirtbags brought home their first Perfect Game Championship, after running the table, going 4-0 for the weekend, in Johnson City, Tennessee. 5 Star National Palacios also brought home a Perfect Game Championship going 5-0 on the weekend, playing in Atlanta, Georgia. Any other big championships won this weekend? Any shoutouts for player performance or positive notes? Looks like SW got back on track and the new king of the block beating the number 1 12u team in the state Diamond Elite not once but twice this past weekend. Both are in Perfect Game this weekend. These two should have some good battles coming for 12u

SW brought in a guest player from another top 5 team Saturday and Sunday when they had their full roster on Saturday and only missing 1 on Sunday. They also played the guest player and sat 2 of their regular rostered players during the championship game. Not sure that’s really doing the SW that much justice, and really only 2 players from SW contributed. Looks like they are bringing 2 guest players to the PG tourney this weekend from the same top 5 team.

Get better and be better. Stop whining. Good investigative reporting on 12u baseball.

What team does said guest player normally play for?
Did sw bat the entire order or did they bat 9 or 10 and bench rostered players?
Heard diamond elite was down players also, any truth from our fine investigator?

Both teams batted 9. SW benched 2 normal rostered players and played the guest player from Shockers. DE seemed to bat 9 from their normal roster

"Looks like SW got back on track and the new king of the block beating the number 1 12u team in the state Diamond Elite not once but twice this past weekend. Both are in Perfect Game this weekend. These two should have some good battles coming for 12u"
- Using guest players is 100% within rules, regs, etc. and done by plenty of teams; everyone is entitled to their own opinion about it - Using guest players and winning a tournament is also perfectly fine; debatable during a local tournament, but still ok; no biggie - Using guest players to beat a team you haven't beaten and then say they "got back on track and the new king of the block" isn't fair (or accurate) to that team or the team they beat. They won the actual game fair and square, but they needed a guest player or two to do it. Again, 100% fine for them winning, but you might need to pump the brakes on the extra "team" comments. SW is a great team without the guest player(s) so not sure why they needed them for the local tourney (please don't say to get used to the team). Totally understand why they, or anyone else, needs guest players for a PG event. Good luck to both teams up there.

Looks like DE has a guest player from Bigbie this weekend too. Guest players for PG events for pitching or when your team is low on players should be no issue

Funny how people try to start nonsense. So let’s answer your questions from a parent on the team. Yes SW used a guest player. There’s nothing wrong with that. Yes he contributed highly in there championship win. No he was not there whole reason they won. SW played a great game and earned that victory. Yes DE has a guest player going to the PG event and so does SW as we both should because we’re going to need as many arms as possible. Yes DE batted 9 because that’s all we had. Yes SW had 2 on the bench and played there GP over them. They went for the win as they should’ve. No you shouldn’t bring guest players to a local HCYP tournament. But to try and start some nonsense when these 2 teams played one hell of a game and the 2 best players in the age group both showing off. You guys need to do better

How to win a $3 trophy in a local tourney: Step 1: enter Step 2: bring in guest player from another top team, not from your own organization, even if you have enough of your team Step 3: make it to championship Step 4: bench your son and another rostered player who aren’t good enough to play another top team for said trophy, but helped get you to the ship Step 5: pray Step 6: collect $3 trophy Step 7: talk about total team effort
