There’s no BS to the story the old rba team folded as their coach moved to another state.
Each family was made to pay a large sum for the fall, when they went to play their last tournament they were told they had no money in the account by Miller. From what’s being told he did the same thing at us elite.
Maybe one of the former dirtbag/rba parents will hear or see the post and respond but it’s no BS from what people are saying 15-16k went poof

Its a show - steer clear, turnover on all the teams except the Anchor down team, the rest are cash grabs they could care less about, check there records its pathetic.

I would have gone to the police. I would bet they don’t provide spreadsheets where the money goes. Sad

AnchorDown had a lot of turnover last year. A lot of kids (especially POs) didn’t get playing time (maybe 4IP or less per week long tournament) and left. Several went to MA Red Sox. That said, turnover is more typical for the prep age teams. Larger rosters, less camaraderie between kids and families, more guesting. Some find a spot on a new National team or there’s just a lot of shuffling between regional teams. It’s more transactional. See also Rawlings, XP.

Juan doesn’t even see the money it goes Directly to 5 ⭐️ and Juan is given a stipend and travel paid for. Juan had nothing to do with conversation, and I was contacted by a parent from that Dirtbags team directly. Let’s just say that their not the dirtbags anymore for a very good reason. The story posted above is legit from the parents I’ve spoken to.

so if this site is "doing your homework," then kudos to you all. But in terms of Mid Atlantic Dirtbags, you better do your homework before you give them your $$ and commit. The org is run by Ryan Wolfsheimer and Shawn Miller - previous coaching staff at Dulaney High School NOT renewed for '20. +-30 rule infractions led to their dismissal. They "were" at Calvert Hall recently, not renewed there either. So these guys who are amateur gurus with high school background seem to be burning bridges at ever stop. If you suspect that your amateur baseball organization is focused on making money, get out... in Baltimore Metro area there are some orgs/ teams who do it right... cover costs/ break even and teach the game.

Here is the truth about Shawn Miller and the Mid Atlantic Dirtbags:
Shawn told the coach he had to carry 14 players. The coach didn't want to carry that many but Shawn said he had to.
The cost for each player was $1,600 and that didn't include the uniform.
Also head coaches kid gets to play for free. Shouldn't be any problem with that. Head coach was told that the buttistant coaches kid gets to play at half price, so they would of paid $800. No problem with that either. Two days before the first tournament head coach calls Shawn and ask him why the buttistant coaches kid isn't on the Perfect Game roster and Shawn says he hasn't paid. Shawn says the buttistant coaches kid has to pay the full $1,600, so he went ahead and paid the remaining $800.
So the total taken in for 13 kids was $20,800
Team was suppose to play in 6 tournaments: 9/11-9/12 Perfect Game September Showdown (Bristol, VA) Cost $340 9/18-9/19 Calvert Hall Tournament (Towson, MD) Cost $750 9/24-9/26 Perfect Game Central PA Fall Elite Championship (Palmyra, PA) Cost $1,300 10/8-10/11 WWBA Northeast Fall Championship (Atlantic City, NJ) Cost $1,545 10/23-10/24 Impact Baseball Fall Championship (Burlington, NC) Cost $875? 10/30-10/31 Perfect Game Spooktacular Slam (Bristol, VA) Cost $340
Total cost for tournament $5,150
Team didn't play in final tournament because they wanted to play in a different tournament and Shawn said there was no money in the account to switch to the other tournament. The tournament they wanted to play in was $1,000 and the tournament they originally were scheduled to play in was $340.
So the total player fees taken in were $20,800 minus the $4,810 is $15,900. We figured that $600 per player would be split between the Dirtbags in North Carolina and go to Shawn Miller so that equals $7,800. Taking out the cost of tournaments $4,810 and Dirtbags fee of $600 per player $7,800 leaves you with $8,190. Where did all that money go? They didn't pay for fields either.
They also had a player get hurt 3 days after paying the $1,600 fee. That player was ruled out by a doctor to not play all fall. The players parents ask for a refund and the Miller's refused to give a refund. The Dirtbags headquarters in North Carolina advised Shawn to give the refund but Shawn still refused. The Dirtbags headquarters said there was nothing they could do since Shawn was a franchisee of the Dirtbags. So that kid ending up being out $1,600 and never played a game with them in the fall.
Coach ask Shawn for baseballs and Shawn said there was no money in the account.
The way I look at it Shawn STOLE around $8,000 from that team.
I would advise anyone thinking about playing for the Mid Atlantic Dirtbags, DON'T DO IT!!
