I know that tournaments can be difficult to run even when the weather is good. However taking into account the profit that comes from them how about some creativity when the forecast calls for good weather Saturday and basically a 100 percent of a washout like today. Not the first time this has happened. How about a single elimination 1 day on Saturday?
In a situation like this weekend teams basically played 2 scrimmages yesterday. No refunds because 2 games were played and teams paid 6-7 hundred dollars for like I said 2 games that in essence were scrimmage games.
I am not suggesting every time there is a chance of rain you make a drastic schedule change and things will happen. You can’t control the weather but keep in mind teams pay a lot of money to play in tournaments and I for one would rather rather see a one day with an outcome and a few partial refunds for teams that lost the first round than the way it’s done now.
