Bat too heavy too young can lead to poor mechanics, injury, and lack of confidence.
Proper progressions IMO during the current state of baseball:
10u-12u: -10
13u Fall: -8
13u Spring: -5
14u Fall and beyond: BBCOR/Wood
10u Spring: 4th Grade
11u Spring: 5th Grade
12u Spring: 6th Grade
13u Spring: 7th Grade
14u Spring: 8th Grade

I see GAC played Tide Green today and got spanked, as expected. Once again losing to one of the better teams they have played this year. Not 1 quality win out of their ~35 wins.
Gambrills 13u is not a top ten team and isn’t just outside of the top 10 either, at this age group.

All of these teams are very competitive and it has been fun playing most of these boys over the past several years. Teams will change due to high school so good luck to you all. Go Warriors. GR #23 will not be forgotten.
