What's the average pitching velocity range per age group?

there is going to be alot of opinions on this post just so you are fully aware. To be honest unless we personally put a kid on a gun or the tournament does it is a hard buttessment to make. Kind of like a fish story, always grows if that makes sense. But back to speeds, personally this year I have seen, at 11U, numerous kids in the low to mid 60's. We have a few on our team that have hit 60+ this year. The highest I have seen this year was at a PG tournament and the kid sat at 69mph on every fastball he threw, and it was effortless. He could have easily thrown harder and it was obvious. I would say 55mph is about average at 11u for good teams and they will have a few that throw harder.
