Just off the top of my head the list is missing
1. Jon Madden— cleanup hitter and 3rd baseman for south River 2. Brady Powell—leadoff hitter and SS for Calvert Tide 3. Zach Crounse—cleanup hitter and pitcher/catcher for Calvert Ride
A lot of very talented kids out there. Tough to build a top 10 or all state team

Need to add Calloway from shockers as a pitcher. Has a strong bat also. Shut down most teams this year including White Marsh this weekend.

Calloway had to leave the game in the 4th after giving up 5 runs and 1 HR to White Marsh. WM ended up winning the game 13-5. However, I do believe he is one of the hardest throwers and certainly should be considered one of the best pitchers in the state for sure. Excellent hitter too!! Ryan Edmunds from Gambrills remains the top pitcher without question.

GC is wrong. The stats I posted were correct. I was at the game at SATB. I am. Not contesting the quality of him as a pitcher because I agree he is one of the best out there but the game went as I stated in the previous post.

GC is only as good as the people putting the info in.
I would still take him, Allen, and Athey as my all state pitching staff And 3,4,5 in my batting lineup.
I have not seen Edmonds and besides last night he has not had that great of a year to be the top pitcher as Baseballfan22. I am using GC as my source of info

I think saying Edmonds has not had that great of a year is a bit of a stretch. He has had a fine year. Edmonds has been used in more of a closer role this season, and like any other top tier 13-yr old when his stuff is flat it becomes BP for the best hitters. Edmonds is 6’1” 180lbs and has hard stuff. He will be throwing for a Baltimore area private school soon. When he is used as a starter (full day to prepare) he is pretty much lights out.
GC is a good tool when the scorer knows baseball. Good for overall records and H2H rankings, but stats for a game and season are worthless.

Body awareness is key for pitchers. I look forward to seeing him play in the future.

I couldn’t honestly say who the best is - Allen,Callaway ,Roldan ,Athey all have in past couple years faced better competition than Edmonds but that doesn’t necessarily mean Edmonds isn’t as good. just hope they all stay healthy and we can see couple of them get drafted or play in college in a few years.
