Just curious after observing multiple teams play, seems like the bat of choice for USA/ Usssa 1.15 bpf seems to be the Marucci cat 7/8. Any input if there is a difference. Seems like most teams and big hitters are choosing this route.
Thanks

Yes mariucci cat 7/8 is the most used and probably the best bat on the market
LOOK into Warstic Bonesaber as well. Great bat, my son uses and within the first week owning the bat he won the home run derby at the usssa all state games. Lots of pop and very balanced.

The best bat is the one that your kid can barrel up. Too many dads worry about getting the best bat. The better question is which bat will last the longest without cracking and which manufacturer has the best warranty.

1. Buy bats new in wrapper with warranty and save receipts 2. Not all bats are equal...do research in terms of balanced, light swing weight or end-loaded. This can make a drastic difference in swing mechanics. 3. Composite vs Alloy or hybrid. Two-piece or no connection point. There are differences and they do make a difference in exit velocity. See justbats.com video cage side reviews. 3. Keep weight in mind 10-12u = -10, 13u Fall = -8, 13u Spring = -5, 14u = BBCOR/-3. Those are the appropriate progressions for metal bat competition. 4. Higher price doesn’t always = top performance. Top bat in the college World Series was the mid-way price point DeMarini Voodoo Insane

-5 (2017) CF Zen should be illegal. The bat in absolutely juiced. Trampoline effect like no other. Not advocating for it. In fact, I think it gives players a false sense of reality. When they go to BBCOR they’re like... what happened? At the end it’s the old saying, “it’s not the arrow it’s the Indian...”. If a kid can hit, they’ll hit with anything today. Unless a kid is a man child (end loaded), the balanced models are the way to go. Happy raking!

Is there a noticeable difference between USA and USSSA 1.15 bats regardless of brand? Not interested in BBCOR. Only the 10U level -10 bat comparison

I think its a huge difference. The USSSA bats have significantly more pop. I'd add that it's easier to find a more balanced USSSA bat also. A lot of the big barrel USA bats that I've come across are end weighted which can be hard to control for some kids. It can make a 30/20 feel like a -5.
