As my team looks ahead to the 2021 season, we are currently debating whether Cooperstown is worth the money or if other week long experiences are just as good at a fraction of the price. Is Cooperstown a "must have experience"? Interested to hear from both sides on this. Thanks!

I have never been to Cooperstown, my sons team goes this July. From everyone I have ever spoke to, it is an absolute must. Does your organization have a ticket to dreams park or are you looking to go to All Star Village? Some say that dreams park is better though the amenities as in the dorms are nicer at all star.
I have been to 4 out of state week long tournaments, and though Cooperstown is by far way more expensive, I am really excited for it.

Not sure if it’s a “must have experience” but according to my son it was his most memorable and enjoyable experience of his youth baseball career. Any out of state trip is fun, be it a weekend tournament or something longer but nothing compares to Cooperstown Dream really. Now he played on a pretty good team and the kids and parents got along well. And all the families on our team were fairly financially stable so that helped.
So I guess it depends on your teams dynamic and financial situation( and ability to fundraise)

We didn't go to Cooperstown so I can't speak to whether or not it is an absolute must. We went to Ripken Pigeon Forge instead. It was great. Facilities, people, location, it was all great. We also had the chance to play teams from all over. Only 30 or so teams, but we played teams from Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, and Indiana. As you would expect, some of the teams were pretty week, but I'd say that a third of the teams there were very high quality. A week long is an absolute must. It was more fun and the kids enjoyed it more than all of the weekend tourneys we played in combined.
