So we all know that most tournaments when it’s canceled due to weather they refund all or the majority of the money. Since this isn’t considered a weather cancelation, what have or are tournaments doing about refunds?

If no games played should be full refund but I am sure there are some that will charge a nice little chunk of admin fee to make some money

@dave that’s what I’m saying, a lot of tournaments give 80-90 % back with rain, or like USSSA gives credit to another tournament. To many kids move year to year especially next year at 13u to give a credit.

Just wait till they cancel Cooperstown. All that money teams have raised and family’s have put out for their own lodging.

Dude I was wondering about teams that are non profits and fundraise a ton of money.... also will Cooperstown have home owners re fund the money for rentals.

Triple Crown Cap City Invite has cancelled and they are thus far offering refunds or moving money to another future event. They state they will refund by May 1st for those who opt for that. Maybe if the first few major venues set a precedent the others will feel obligated to follow suit. I know for us being a non profit small draw area and families that are local and not necessarily on max income this will go a long way in the families and players wanting to patronize these organizations in the future. We are all at their mercy, hopefully they do the right thing. TC policy is full refund minus 10% admin fee which is reasonable in my view (they have to pay their staff and accounting people). Will be interesting to see how other local, regional and national venues unfold over the next month. Best wishes and health to everyone out here.
