I know there are reasons why but think kids would be better served playing grade level like in basketball. The “older” kids may have an advantage when they are younger but miss out ( when they are 8th graders) of playing a full year of BBCOR to prepare for high school

Swanging Bbcor ain’t that hard coach and no reason to separate to make your boy feel special for being the young of the team.

It’s one of the biggest issues hs coaches talk about with freshman. Going from drop 5 to some using drop 10 bats that are loaded to drop 3 with a tiny sweet spot. Kids that half swung it hit over the fence will have trouble getting it out of infield. After 12u kids should look to be on team with players the same grad year. Showcase teams will be grad year specific.

Them grad teams can be inviting other boys to join the lockers and they aint the same year. Only thang worse than them Coors is a couch throwang the jacks to much
