We are in search of 1-2 quality players to join our team moving forward. There will be a private tryout held tomorrow (Thursday) at OBGC. Contact me with any questions or if. You are looking for another time during the week. Thanks Tommyrey24@yahoo.com

Develops kids Wins Keeps quiet (others could learn from this)
If my kid wasn't already on a solid team, he'd be at Olney trying out.

Your post is comical. You threw a 12 year old 94 pitches on Sunday. Your 13u team does this nonsense consistently. That’s not developing. Get a clue.

That comment makes you sound like the dad of a kid who doesn’t get to play much. Sounds like a comment coming from a dad who hypes their kid up, but the kid isn’t actually good, so you complain to the coach. You sound like the parent of a kid who hasn’t thrown 94 pitches in one season because He isn’t what you said he is.

It’s called arm care and I could care less other than for the kid and his health. You’re a tool, too. Did you play beyond high school? Good lord

Was it your son? NO so why even worry about what that program does? They are extremely well coached, their coaches have more experience than 99% of the coaches in the state in our age group.
Sounds like you are jealous your son doesn’t play for them. If you look at GameChanger kid held off a very good team that is known for using shaved bats, to just 2 runs through 5 and a third. So go back to your rec team.
Great job Tommy Rey and staff always a professional on the field,
And congrats to your boys for a very strong showing.

Why don’t high school and college pitchers pitch that much, Ace? I don’t have a son in age group and played D1. Look at any PG event or Team USA guideines and get a clue. It’s morons like you that wonder why Johnny’s arm in high school wasn’t what it was. Trust me we are seeing it now at the high school level.

It’s called arm care and I could care less other than for the kid and his health. You’re a tool, too. Did you play beyond high school? Good lord Dear Sir, We let our 13 year old, Aidan, throw about 5-8 (one batter) too many pitches. He showed no signs of fatigue when he was taken out. Arm was a little fatigued on Monday but wanted to throw another bullpen at camp on Wednesday. For those of you that were at the game would say the same thing. The kid is a horse. Was dealing against one of the top teams we have ever played. He out-pitched the Dejong kid through 4 innings. Hats off to them. Their batters figured him out. This type of banter is exactly the reason I do not go onto this message board. Too many guys in other teams/programs business. I start to read threads and then I get off because grown men on here are saying things to other grown men and hide behind a fake screen name. What type of example are we teaching our kids with that nonsense? Anyways- I didn’t come on here to go back and forth so thanks for listening and good luck to all moving forward. -Tommy Rey

So sophomores, juniors, and seniors require 4 full days rest after throwing 76 (per Maryland guidelines from Dr Andrews) and your kid threw bullpen on Wednesday after 94 on Sunday. You don’t want to go on message boards but you tout a thesis on your team for tryouts and then you allow your pitcher to do that? Your 13u coach just threw a kid 152 pitches in 4 days this week. Seems only thing you guys are focused on is winning trophies.

This must be one of the players on an opposing team or another parent hiding behind the keyboard. I said that he wanted to throw a bullpen. I didn't say he threw a bullpen. When did I write a thesis on my team? You must have me mistaken for someone else. "Seems the only thing you are focused on is winning trophies" Have you ever played against us? Have you been to our practices? Do you have any idea what my team does in the offseason? "Coach Todd" - What is your coaching background? To whom it may concern - Please have the administrator approve user identity or this message board will be used to divide all of us.

While it wouldn’t totally eliminate overuse and arm injuries i for the life of me have no idea why all baseball doesn’t fully adhere to pitch smart guidlines. Little league does it and Perfect Game does too two opposite ends of the spectrum. So why can’t everyone in between do it? High school does too I believe or at least something very similar. This is not directed at coach Rey- he has a good reputation from his HS coaching days and his camps. Take the guesswork and controversy out of it.Institute it everywhere and no more complaints.
Means teams might have to carry another player if they play in most tournaments and you would have to have an extra coach or parent keep track. What is the argument against?
