Would love to know which Shockers 10U team signed up for the 10U tournament 8/6-8/9 in the YWS d2/d3 tournament in OC.

i watched that diamond elite/shockers game from the 3rd inning on and it was an intense game. the umpire was clearing following the runner at 3rd and not paying attention to play at 2nd. he called the boy safe and then only changed his decision once the elite coaches all came at him.he was a high school and was intimidated obviously. all that aside, even after the chief umpires final decision which was right by the book- elite still had a one run lead in bot of 5th. couldnt hold it. then in extras, they were up 4 with supposedly their best pitcher- couldnt hold it and if i remember there was still only 1 out when all those runs scored. you hate for one play to stick out in a game, but bottom line is elite had a chance to still win that game and didnt. their parents can complain all the want- calls are missed in a game all the time by umpires. i wouldnt wanted to be in the shoes of that young umpire- that was his first game ever and what a big game to do. if the call went the other way- then elite would be happy on the missed call by the umpire and the shocker parents would of been upset. at end of day its 10u baseball and those parents- mainly elites shouldnt of acted like that- they have a reputation already by other teams and this isnt first time their parents have shown their self. let the boys play and parent stay in the stands ( respectively )

That was not me or any of our employees or staff. First time I have ever even heard of that website. Not sure why someone would put their username as our business name. Definitely not us. Tournament Director STATS Tournamentswww.statstournaments.com www.facebook.com/statstournament Hi The following post was just sent to me. My question the author is the stats. If this was you or an employee my thing is why is there no mention of a shockers coach attempting to fight my parents or their parents acting the way they did. I know my parents were just as wrong and the situation was horrible for everyone. I just do not appreciate the post when there’s plenty more to the story that was left out. <Image.jpg> There Is plenty more to the story. Why leave it out and why lie about the user name. That’s not fair to that man or his employees. At the end of the day these are 10 year old kids. They aren’t always going to get the calls their way but what they should get is parents that respect them and just support them and their opponents. Yes we came up short and yes it was an awful situation all the way around. Hopefully each player, parent, and coach learn from it and better themselves. This is a great match up each time these teams step on the field and nobody in the stands should take that from them. Let them play. Steve Kendall

I don't think you were watching the same game, "STATS". Yes, the umpire was young and inexperienced. He should have never been on that field with 2 great 10U teams, prob the best 2 teams in the state. Diamond Elite won that game. They had numerous bad calls, which in turn led up to Mid- Atlantic taking the lead. That horrendous call at 2nd base, and the "foul" ball ( 100 % fair) hit down the 3rd base line. Yikes. Diamond Elite won. I didn't see the disrespectful parents from Diamond Elite's side that you speak of, upset parents but not disrespectful. I did see a dad from Mid-Atlantic run across the field after one of Diamond Elites parents though. Ran right past the 12 10 year old boys trying to play honest baseball. I actually had my son and his teammates watching with me and we couldn't look away. It was a shame to see Diamond Elite lose that game, and to see the Mid Atlantic coaches pull a fast one and lie like that. Go watch a game for your self and make your own decision about a team. I hear there is a video of this entire game. I would love to watch it. I did speak with a parent from Mid- Atlantic after the game, they were actually a guest player- they agreed the player was out at 2nd base and without that call and turn of events they wouldn't have won. The only thing i can agree with "STATS" on is that they are 10 years old, no need for the lying and cheating to win a game, what is that teaching your team. I saw Mid- Atlantic ended up losing the championship game= KARMA.

Well said Coach. You have a great group of boys/parents. After everything that happened to the game and to them, they still went out on the field and finished the game. The kids know what happened and what is right and what is wrong.I can actually believe that someone from Mid-Atlantic would act like they were someone from the STATS tournament commenting. When i read that comment I just couldn't believe STATS would #1 comment on this situation and #2 leave out some important information/details. It seems they only commented on things that would make your team look bad. But anyone that was there watching the game knows what really happened. Tell your team to keep their heads up, Mid-Atlantic stole that win from you this time but your team is one hell of a ball team. Keep giving them competition and they will keep talking/complaining.

Thank you very much, really appreciate it. Not right for anyone to go on a forum and bad mouth organizations, parents, and/ or teams especially under a fake name with zero facts. It is pretty sad especially when it is 10 year old kids involved. Good luck to you and your team on the season
