I've witnessed the travel ball loop from age 7 thru HS graduation. This is all garbage. No one cares about who is the best team, at least the guys who matter don't. If you care, you don't mater. The teams with bigger kids at 9-12 dominate on the small fields and then at 13-14 the other kids catch them and in most cases surpbutt them. Talk about what teams are doing it right. Developing kids, no overuse, playing to develop and not to win, batting all their kids, teaching mental toughness, teaching respect of the game, teammates, opponents, and umpires. This ranking teams is pure garbage. Have a positive post one time. Very rarely do you see a positive post. Saw one last week about a team playing and batting every kid through the whole tourney. Kudos. Want to see how good a team/coach was, see how his teams kids do in HS and beyond. How well were they prepared. Stop celebrating playing garbage tourneys and winning, and yes this includes every and all local MD tourneys to also include Sports at the Beach, USSSA, and Ripken. Even most out of state tourneys, coaches will hand pick tourneys where weaker teams are. Want to see a good team? Look up their 13u-14u roster 4 years after that is over. All the big and slow kids didn't play HS ball. All the smaller kids who hadn't hit puberty and worked hard and listened to their coaches probably had some sort of impact on their HS teams. College? How many go on to play college? Not many I can butture you of that. D-1? 1 kid out of 100 will. Stop ranking teams and getting in pi**ing matches with fellow coaches. Most coaches are volunteers, and most are out of their league, but they still show up and give tons of their time. Stop ranking, start developing players for the big field and then eventually HS baseball.

You are correct you Rarely see positive posts on here usually its all negative. You are correct when the 12s next year go to the big field most will have a rude awaking including my son who is a small kid best thing i can do is try to put him in the best situation possible to succeed thats why i have him doing extra training outside of practices and on a team that finds the very best tournaments with the best talent to prepare him for next year. But you would be surprised how many top coaches and organizations use the rankings as a draw to bring in better talent for the following season. Great post though Mr Youre All Wrong |

Do the rankings mean anything nope but you can’t tell me people don’t look at em, the kids definitely do. And to be honest it gets them fired up to play high ranked teams.
When we beat beaver valley last year our players told the coaches where they were ranked, and when they beat them it meant a little more to them.
Rankings have so many variables at a young age any team can beat any team on any given day. I mean gosh the orioles beat the redsox a couple straight to end the season.
Wayne Lewis does a great job trying to stay neutral and ask multiple sources from each age group. If ya don’t like em don’t look at em. Yes

One is this site which is a joke doesnt stay updated and the other is TBR which hasnt been updated since April the guy who runs it allows people to have input to favor thier org or team. Yes i spend alot of time looking at teams scores and who plays who. My inbox stays flooded asking when the next rankings will he out and that is no BS. Mr. Rankings There’s several places that rank: 1-perfect game but you have to play perfect game events 2- Travel baseball rankings: total joke has teams ranked that are no longer teams if you challenge them they block you and then erase your team from the rankings. Wayne honestly talks to coaches in every age group weekly and follows the sport very well. Gives one of the most honest rankings around. Even ranks other teams above his sons so if that’s not g fair I don’t know what is. |

I wasnt going to do fall just cause you have kids that are in fall and winter sports so teams are missing quite a few kids but i may just do it say at the end of October to just to give people something to talk about through winter 🤷♂️ and i don't mind peoples opinions either once they are out. So stay tuned 11u through 14u top 5 |
