Just wondering if DE does fundraising. I guess that there is a upcoming financial payment that these kids were trying to avoid? 12u year is very expensive thanks to cooperstown. All fundraising. Sometimes it's just time to move on. |

Sometimes it's just time to move on. Those new parents that decided to leave and join DE are thinking what have they gotten themselves into. They have to be second guessing the decision to leave original team. |

I don’t understand what really happened to the DE kids to want to leave and play for the Bigbiee coach. From my understanding the entire bigbiee team left to play for five star in Delaware. My son has played that team many times and they were really good.! There’s a reason they left and now kids are leaving DE to go there? DE has always seemed to be the best team in our state or top 2 atleast. I hope they figure it out there’s some really great kids on that team/ parents too for that matter. Unless you are part of the in crowd meaning party with Steve 24-7 keep your mouth shut everything is fine. There is allot people don’t know or willing to say in fear of your kid being penalized. The favorites don’t know about that they are never on the other side and enjoy all the perks. DE talks like everything is fair and they do the right thing but that is a LIE! |

I by no means am defending Steve’s actions. There seems to be a lot more to this story than EL PAPI taking Anthony and leaving. 1. Money is next to ussy as the number 1 downfall of all men. 2. With Marucci and this guy from Bigbees paying for all of a Anthony’s travel and equipment EL PaPi may want to watch his sons amateur status. A team can pay for your son to stay in a hotel but by the rule the parents can’t stay in the same room. ( just using as an example) Wasn’t there another coach that was supposed not to a players house and begged him to come back to his team at 11u a few years Back?? Not saying that coach kicked in a front door but…. Only 2 people know the entire story and that’s EL Gordo Papi and Steve. Team will get renamed and someone else will take it over. |

So let’s just look at the facts here. Everyone is trying to steal kids to come play for them this is just the way it is. The kids don’t care where they play as long as they have friends on the team to play Xbox/PlayStation with when it’s over. The parent coaches seem to be the main problem. Steve has ruin the team by his actions…. Clearly! The post above says the Bigbie coach is the only good dude on here? Wasn’t his son the guest player for DE? Isn’t he the coach at Bigbie’s that just stole some kids from DE ? How is he the good dude here? Where did his whole team go?? Why did they leave ? This is the problem with travel baseball there should be NO parent coaches. Pay more and have non-parent coaches. People to invest in your kid and not a metal trophy or plastic ring. Those things won’t make your kid a better player it will only make them suffer more at the next level when a real coach says WTH kid. There’s way too many teams in the area and not enough coaches. Half the kids playing travel baseball should be playing local or Little League. Honestly it doesn’t matter what people say on here it will only get worse. The best move is to find a national level organization and get your kid in it ASAP if you feel they can play at the next level. U.S. elite, Dirtbags, 5-Star, ASBA etc. get away from Dad coaching and the drama will stop!
