Fellas, All 20 or so of us are wrong and 2-3 Lakeshore coaches were right. The fact they continue to justify themselves instead of just saying “hey, it was a bad decision and we apologize and we could have made it work” would have gone a long way. They instead further dig themselves deeper and only alienate any right minded people with their lame excuses. It’s not the adversity you are held but how you deal with it.
The fact Steve and others can’t acknowledge the miscues on playing Sunday leads us all to believe future tournaments will be run the same.
We all try to support local tournaments but this is a major reason why many teams go to Hershey, Ripken, SATB, to not have to deal with the nonsense.

Only female dogs I see are Lakeshore coaches complaining they would have had to work on fields two nights in a row.

Funny thing I’m not a coach, and even said yes the field “may “ Of been playable. But please explain when they are issuing partial refunds how it’s a money grab?

It’s pretty common sense but I will help explain.
1. The refund policy is brutal. 70% if no games played. So for 12u, if no games are played did it really “cost” $180 to cancel when no games were played? If one game is played $480 paid for one game. 2 umps are $70, add in some admin fees, etc but come on... 2. The rules state that “Every effort possible will be made to get games in”. My question and many others is what effort was made Saturday evening? The 12U fields were in excellent condition anyway as we drove by at 8:00 am. 3. The tournament was cancelled by 6:00 pm Saturday. That’s laughable. Spend some time and look at how bad that looks. 4. Every other tournament that weekend played in maryland. Again, due some research.
We all feel like we are talking chinese because you guys are clueless yet fail to understand what we are saying. How can we all have the same opinion?!? We all play in other tournaments and are aware of mother nature. The fact that no one can just apologize and admit a mistake and let this move on is embarrbutting to Lakeshore.

Stars and Strikes refund policy is 70% also- possible that the organizations had to pay to use the fields in advance regardless of the weather? I don’t know but would be interested in the reasoning behind this.

There should atleast been a effort to get the fields playable for Sunday and since 3 of the past 4 tournements have been canceled the past 2 years why dont lakeshore take some of that money they got and get better drainage on the fields. No way should those games been canceled Sunday. Every other team i know that played that weekend finished thier tourneys. Im sure other teams volunteers would have offered time to get the fields ready to play but nope they just said the middle finger with it.
