I’m sure GAC can recruit a couple players from the MD O’s to get better. I heard GAC is shedding kids. I’d recruit their coach honestly if they were able to beat your powerhouse twice in a weekend.

Yep that's GAC and whatever entity they call themselves. The days of them developing have past. All the good coaches there have since moved along and nothing but unqualified daddy ballers remain.

We recruited 1 player on our roster, please tell me who else we recruited? Because we get new kids that their fathers reach out to us when they are not happy with where they are..... that’s not recruiting.

Development
I guarantee you no one out works this team in the off season. No one puts the time and effort that our kids do, so every time you say DEVELOPMENT and say yea ok, your straight 💩 On our kids not the coaches because at the end of the day, it’s our kids that put the work in.

Showcase type teams usually grabs the best players and go ball out. That’s what baseball is at the older ages. Some teams choose to keep the same players to make the local high schools better, but are they challenging their players? Who knows. If playing good talent I buttume there is a challenge but is there a challenge of being pushed on the team? There is no real right or wrong in any of this it’s what’s best for your kid. How many 13U teams are going to head down to GA This spring for PG? All should, even if not a showcase team because it allows your players to play against great talent at great facilities and compete. Most teams at PG will have 15-20 kids on the roster, lot different than most teams at the age group are used to. PG in GA is like Cooperstown every year from 13 to 18U.

BTW that’s why all teams have tryouts to try and improve their team. They usually cut the lower performers and add better players right?

And someone with common sense and knowledge of the game speaks.
And Dave we are headed to at minimum 4 PG events and definitely want to head to East Cobb, but do most here even know what East Cobb is?

You have like 4-5 kids playing down. All teams that are grade based old do well. Have those kids play 14u.

So don’t get on teams that play with kids with different grad years.
Maybe change it from 13u to 2025 or 2026.
What about the kid that’s 12 on our team?
Every team goes through it at 14u where high school kids either leave a team or come back to a team later in the year.
Johnny you seem to spend a lot of time knowing about our team. What team does your son play on? Do they not have 2025&2026 grad years?
And just so you know we are playing multiple 14U tournaments so our 2025 kids are preparing for high school ball swinging BBCOR.

It makes each year’s team more competitive. Gambrills, a competitive travel program, is unique by allowing a kid to play up,

The 12 year old is a 2026 grad and he competes at every aspect of the game. He is an amazing athlete and great young man.
