Olney is not a good team anymore they haven’t cut anyone, good players have left due to the coach protecting his kid and his best friends kid. They are playing week tourneys chasing trophies and can’t even get in the winners bracket. Joke! Now Rey is “coaching” Sherwood HS so his kid can bat 2nd and play SS. What team loses kids mid season because of Daddy ball? Pirates baseball.
This is a sad post.
The message board should really require people to register their names when they post. It’s sad because you are spreading hate where there is no need for it.
My guess is that the person that started this chat board to promote baseball in the state of Maryland. This has had the opposite effect.
Why would anybody spread hurtful things about a 13u player, coach or parent.
Here are a couple of facts:
1. We lost a good player to another team. It doesn’t make a difference what team it is. It saddens me that we lost a good kid and his parents. Good luck to Jacob. I only wish him the best.
2. My son has earned his position and it’s fine that you don’t agree with me. I feel confident when he plays MIF because I know that he is able to do things as far as coverages, holding runners on, etc that an average baseball parent is oblivious to. I’m not talking down to anybody when I say this. I’m not trying to have a debate either.
3. I am coaching at Sherwood because of an unexpected circumstance with one of the coaches and friend and I will leave it at that. I don’t make any decisions when I am there. I am just a guy in the community that can be counted on when a friend is in need. Hopefully I am setting a good example for my players and they learn from why I am there.
4. Stop with all the hate. Life is too short to keep going in circles with fake names. I’m going to do everything I can to keep things positive. Our kids deserve our best version of ourselves. They don’t need to read grown folks talk bad about 13 year olds.
Good luck the rest of the season and moving forward to your high school seasons.

I am in the OBGC baseball program and Olney community
Let's talk facts!!
Your name in the HS coaching community is a joke and known as Daddy ball. HS coaches want their incoming kids to play multiple spots and have a strong foundation, you don't do this! You lock kids into 1 spot! Multiple coaches from multiple schools public and private have said this about you.
You don't develop kids, that's why people leave your program. And the Olney kids haven't left because they know you will o anything to punish them.
You have not had a win yet this season in a tourney! And a consolation win doesn't count.
In that win you had a kid pitching 2 innings 18 pitch No hitter and were winning 26-0 and you pulled him and put in your son. Daddy ball!!!
You play favorites in rank 1) your son 2) your buttistants son 3) Olney kids, unless their parents have ever questioned you.
Your son has batted 2nd in the line since he was 8. He did move once for a couple weeks to the lead off spot and usually he is one of the lowest in avg.
You left Paint Branch Varsity coaching job to spend more time with your family and coach your son. "your words" Now you are being a great community guy and coaching Sherwood and leaving the Olney team to deal without you. I guess its ironic your son will be in Sherwood in a few months.
Your son has never tried out for a baseball team, you should think about stepping away from both teams and let someone else do it. If he's as good as you make him out to be great but you're only hurting your own kid.
Wait until he gets to HS and the team makes fun of him to his face.
This should be a slap in the face but to help your kid actually learn how to be man unless you are going to follow him to college and wipe his butt.
Last thing when you put your "coaching resume" online to get people to come play for you. No parent cares!
