I wanted to come on here to ask why some people in particular are so devoted to 13u travel baseball? Let the kids have fun, and these parents need to stop caring so much! I care that people talk trash on any of the coaches names I coach with or one of our players directly. You wanna say we suck we recruit good for you but when someone says someone doesn’t deserve to be on the team or that we don’t develop, that’s a not just an insult to the coaches but to each and every kid on our team who dedicate themselves to getting better. Young men who are at Taylor Blooms 1-3 times a week, have 2 practices a week, go to 2-4 open workouts a week that are voluntary. Don’t say we don’t develop when we give up our time as volunteers bust our a$$es to help the kids get better, bring in the best player development, then reach out to multiple private schools and have them come evaluate and work with our kids. |

Maybe instead of talking trash on here you should be watching YouTube videos on new drills or how to coach a baseball team. Again everyone always preaches hard work beats talent so if we only add talent how do we continue to get better? How did we take 2 players that played on B teams the year prior and are both now some of the best pitchers in the state? How did one player bat below .050 on a B team at 11u lead Gambrills in triples hit 2 homeruns at 13u and 4th on the team in strikeouts from the bump? Oh it must be natural progression right Get a life |

Have we recruited for 5 Star hell yes we have how do you think we have players from Puerto Rico Florida California Kentucky Michigan? It’s not a local team. We recruited Dom and besides that everyone else has reached out to us. Gambrills was always a good squad from 9-11. I don’t personally have your number, what is it? Who are you and I’ll gladly give it to you once I know who I’m speaking to!! |

If Juan is so great why does he have to brag and boast? You ever see former college or pro players post on social media how great they are? No, they don’t have to. Kids work hard. Great. Let's get on to the real topic.
What's everyone going to do when their little johnnies are done playing baseball in 1 to 3 years, depending how soon they get tired of daddy crying on social medias and moving them around from team to team? Take up umpiring? Maryland needs a few more power trip youth umpires it might be good for the ego to alleviate the loss of daddy ball when son quits game. Or will they eventually move on to terrorizing their grandkids, living vicariously through them, telling same stories about how their arm got hurt right before the MLB draft so they had to hang it up?
As for Juan, he loves all the daddy ballers now. He also clarified where Jack is going. He is the smartest man on these threads. He is laughing his way to the bank. His new nickname is "dinero".
The dipper needs some money too. Maybe I will get into this gig until I take Hyde's job once all the youngsters come up to put a winning product on the field. I have some pro creds I can toss around and we will be the only team to entertain folks during rain delays. I'll be watching this thread for the next superstar dad who is coming out of retirement to play with his son. We can take you both. Just like the swingman Griffey. Can barely tell the difference.

Regarding the comment about not developing and picking up new kids every year. Name one REAL travel team that doesn’t have tryouts to add new players to help make the team stronger. Name one. Teams that don’t add pieces every year didn’t have any interest because their team sucks.

What is really important
Coaches should remember why they are coaching.
It’s not just to win games.
The good coaches are the ones that the kids remember for all the right reasons. Lessons that are taught on and off the field.
