I have sat back and received screenshots from people about this ridiculous situation and decided to take a day or two to digest the absolute immaturity of some of the people on this board. Otherwise I would of said a lot of things I probably would have regretted unlike some on this board. First I want to say I appreciated the opportunity for my son to play with Diamond Elite this Fall and he had a great experience and made a lot of friends along the way and so did I for that matter. I have nothing but the upmost respect for those kids and the way they welcomed him on the team and most of the parents as well. It made it very easy for him to fit in and for that I was grateful. It is not always an easy situation for a kid to come to a new team because of the many undue expectations that are usually put on them, but that was never the case here. Their devotion to the game and competitiveness on the field made it truly fun to watch every weekend. We played a lot of competitive teams and Caleb competed right along with everyone on that field. So Lets get something straight. Those who truly know me and know him will quickly defend the fact that he works harder than 99.9% of the kids in this game hands down. Only person I know off hand that works just as hard is Brandon Toadvine. He is at catching clinics, pitching lessons, hitting lessons, hits off the tee in the garage and agility all year long. Brandon does the same except for catching. It is not because I make him or tell him he has to, it is because he wants to. He doesn't think he is the best player out there nor do I, but I can tell you one thing he can play on any team in this state and I have seen them all. No team is solid 1-12 that he couldn't take someone's place. So to make a stupid comment like I tried to buy his way on teams and their were no takers is the sign of someone's kid who was about to lose their position. In fact before all this garbage was starting to surface he was going to be offered a spot on DE and I turned it down and I have the texts to prove but irrelevant at this point. I will not sit back and let you talk about my son in this matter for one, two whoever posted this for your sake I really hope I don't find out. Second of all, you really made a huge mistake in making accusations about me stealing. Those of you who know me also know that I work in the Financial Services industry and an accusation like this, although on a beer drinking softball league of a board carries very little weight, but can affect someone's career. Therefore, I will be turning information over to my IT department tomorrow and if I can pin down who this was I can butture you charges will be filed. I have done a great deal for the kids who play for me and have played for me and if for one minute you think otherwise then you are not in my circle. People are sickened by the comments this low life scum has made and all it has done has solidified and justified the reasons people have left your team. If you also knew me you would know I have been talking with the brbutt at Bigbie's and they are well aware of what I have been trying to accomplish. For the record the majority of the money there is my money that I put in so if that were the case I would be stealing from myself you idiot. I don't know where you are getting your information from but if you had any balls you could of just picked up the phone and asked. Money that I have with Bigbie's all goes to players expenses throughout the season just ask them. Everything I spend is documented and handed over with a receipt so for that kiss my a**. So in your post you said correct me if I am wrong. So yea a**hole you are wrong. As for Steve, I am not going to comment on any of the accusations that have surfaced regarding him and Papi. If the things said are true then that will take care of itself through the legal system but if this is where 12u baseball has gone or any age for that matter you can have it. Coaching is hard enough having to deal with parents who think there kid should play this position, and bat here and pitch this game. Not to mention make up excuses for every mistake their kid makes, yet point fingers at all the other kids to defer the blame. Trust me. I had a team of these very parents who are cancerous for any team and are as ungrateful as the day is long. There are always going to be people who think the grbutt is greener on the other side but they quickly find out it is not. You also have to deal with the parents whose knowledge of the game goes as far as the tee ball field they coached on when their son was 4 yet now are MLB couch Commissioners. Trust me there are a lot of those. So what I am getting at is if coaching travel baseball was just about coaching it would be easy. But it is not anymore and I have respect for Steve for taking on this role because I know where he is coming from. However, what has transpired from these alleged actions have gone far beyond any scope of coaching. My suggestion for all the parents who actually read this tabloid of a forum to take a good look in the mirror, because if you are teaching your kids what you are posting on this board then boards like this will always exist. Your kids will be the ones mouthing off anonymously in 10 years or more. So congratulations on that. Keep in mind this game gets faster and hard enough as these kids get older they don't need your drama on top of it. These are really good kids but the reality is they better figure out what they are going to do after high-school or college because very few of them will be playing past that stage of their life. Trust me that is a fact. So sit back, pull up your lawn chair and stfu and let the coaches coach, the players play and the umps ump. If you want to teach your kids something wait until you get home and teach them about life and why posting bull like on this board was not a good decision for anyone. They are facts and criminal.
Kids come and go from teams all the time never have I seen this level of drama involved.
Those kids left voluntarily. Wish them well. Thought they were irrelevant? Stop the harbutting messages to Marucci Angie. That cant be denied as the messages are proof. Steve's text to Papi after his drunken antics is proof.
FYI...your kids know about this message board. Do better.

Enough is enough. One upset parent has caused all this. It’s not worth it. Don’t stoop to his level. This speaks volumes of your character.
Rise above. Every single team has had that one bad apple, some have more. It’s seems these bad apples have removed themselves from Diamond Elite and now want nothing more than to sabotage them. It’s a shame that adults act this way. Take this as a learning experience. Life lessons 101.
#1 baseball should always be fun
#2 don’t ever talk about children
#3 always leave with dignity
#4 not everything you read on the internet is true
#5 these innocent children will be able to read this one day
#6 spreading false accusations/rumors about people is cowardly

Enough is enough. One upset parent has caused all this. It’s not worth it. Don’t stoop to his level. This speaks volumes of your character. Rise above. Every single team has had that one bad apple, some have more. It’s seems these bad apples have removed themselves from Diamond Elite and now want nothing more than to sabotage them. It’s a shame that adults act this way. Take this as a learning experience. Life lessons 101. #1 baseball should always be fun #2 don’t ever talk about children #3 always leave with dignity #4 not everything you read on the internet is true #5 these innocent children will be able to read this one day #6 spreading false accusations/rumors about people is cowardly #7 do not do what you hate Im gonna go out on a limb here and say Not every team has one bad apple. But your post is correct. The parties involved need to have a talk and clear the air man to man. This has gotten way out of hand. The personal shots on here are unacceptable. Only Wayne and the good Lord above knows it if it's him posting or not. We do know that it's DE parents responding. This is what happens when there is no clear divide between coaches and parents. What we do know is that Sutch's dad was falsely accused of embezzling money and Kendall went to Anthony's house drunk. They are facts and criminal. Kids come and go from teams all the time never have I seen this level of drama involved. Those kids left voluntarily. Wish them well. Thought they were irrelevant? Stop the harbutting messages to Marucci Angie. That cant be denied as the messages are proof. Steve's text to Papi after his drunken antics is proof. FYI...your kids know about this message board. You might not have that “bad apple” exposing themselves yet but it will come. This is all over the parent thinking their child should be playing a different position and batting higher in the line up. He was on this team for years, finally exposed himself this past fall. The issue always stems from the parents thinking their child is more deserving of another. And it only gets worse as they get older. Good luck to your team. I wish no team to have to go through something like this. Especially when it’s all volunteers trying help these boys do what they love. You really can’t make everyone happy, but this guy has taken it way to far. It’s very shameful and disheartening. I pray for these innocent young boys on that team |

This site used to be entertaining but the personal attacks and attacks on kids has gone too far. I dont care how much teams win if there is this much drama and unrest I would keep my kid far away from that atmosphere. Children imitate behavior and is this really how we want them to grow up?
To the coaches who volunteer and parents who just enjoy watching their kids play I salute you. To the rest, this is an embarrbuttment for youth sports and the state of MD.

Bc we all know they will eventually. These boys will absolutely read this one day, if they haven’t already ( I pray to god they haven’t). This entire site needs to be removed and deleted. No one on here is doing anything productive for youth baseball. we have enough negativity in our lives. Let’s spread positivity only. Baseball should be fun. We should all be happy that we have children that enjoy playing sports, and for many of them, are really good at it! Maryland has some amazing ball players. Let’s not take away from the kids because of one bad apple. If we stop responding, he will stop too. I pray for everyone on here. No one deserves to have any of this happen to them. Regardless of being true or not- who are we to judge? No one is perfect. Bullies always prey on the weak. We all know who the 2-3 individuals are preying on DE. They are on here constantly bashing DE. Just stop. Move on and enjoy playing for your (new) team. You succeeded in spreading nothing but negativity and false accusations. But it stops here. The people that matter know the truth. The people that matter see right through all the lies. Most importantly the people that matter stand behind their team. Steve is an amazing coach and an amazing person. Angie is an amazing team mom and an amazing person. Do something kind today. Let’s start with ignoring the message board. |
