My guess is Steve will step down as coach and let someone else coach the team. That might be the best thing possible for DE moving forward. Well said. I agree. Don't think it's going to happen though. The problem with DE is the line between coach, team mom, parents. Let the coaches coach and everyone else shut up. I guarantee all this mud slinging and back and forth has not been done by any member of the coaching staff. No accountability. What is to be gained from contacting Marucci. The players are gone and not coming back. Papi chose to leave with HIS son. I'd like to think that we all are here for what we think is the best interest of our children. Autry may be a good choice to coach, I just don't see there being a DE without Steve. |

You should not have to worry you're going to be attacked if you choose to leave a team. How many of the other kids parents that were poached by DE had their old coaches kick in their doors? None, it just seems to be a black cloud around DE and parents should be looking to run for the hills.

DE needs to change head coaches or move on completely and call it a day. |

The parents should reach out to teams immediately before teams become full! |

This was not a fly by night thing regardless of what folks believe. If your reaction would be to go to your former players house drunk then you may have a few screws loose too. |

There is no loyalty in the world anymore and 12U baseball is no different. Parents are always chasing instant gratification and what is best for them not necessarily their kid. |

There is no loyalty in the world anymore and 12U baseball is no different. Parents are always chasing instant gratification and what is best for them not necessarily their kid. These kids experienced lots of success with DE so I'm guessing they left for a reason and there are things we will never know and honestly we shouldn't. People do what they feel is best for their kids. |

But unfortunately the damage has been done. Definitely better ways to handle things. But all he can do is move on now and hope that things can be a little bit normal. |

At least there is talking and opinions going on and not bashing etc Money always makes things much more difficult. I won't argue that. But there has to be a line that you don't cross. The hard part now, is someone now did something illegal. And that's where things can turn for the worst. |
