Who did Elkridge lose to in the “B” tournament, looks like not much competition was at Olney tournament, looks like this age group is still a free for all, any given day anybody can beat anybody, just don’t understand why so many people hate on gambrills on this site so much, must just be jealousy, their a good team and organization, let it go, also want to thank Steve sarullo, if not for him this website would be pretty much boring and non existent, and I don’t mean that in a bad way

Elkridge played 4 games consecutively starting noon ending at 9:30 losing to Maryland Crush in ship. Beat Mid-Atlantic Shockers along the way.

Crab should be great this spring.

13U dad can you atleast say who you are ? By the spelling of my last name I have an idea.
Elkridge played 4 straight is correct, any team that plays 4 games in 1 day could fall to a team that they usually wouldn’t that’s a long day for anyone even adults. Not sure on which Shockers team they played but the shockers top 3 teams are all good.
Tommy Rey and his olney squad ran though their tournament pretty easy, but it was a wood tournament, so you can’t expect super high numbers. They also played Saturday with only 9 kids. Have to give Tommy and his staff credit for always placing a super competitive team out there even if they only have 9 or 10.
The Maryland Orioles do deserve credit, their catcher has a huge stick and their coach always seems to have a good game plan going in. Congrats to them for finishing second this weekend.
Gambrills definitely did not have the best weekend, but playing ASBA for the 3rd time they knew exactly how to play us, and I don’t know if I’ve ever seen an outfield play us deeper, except for API and Olney. We just didn’t throw enough strikes to secure the win. It happens kids have bad days just sucks for it to be on a sunday.
As the fall winds down best of luck to everyone with the end of their fall season, and see who comes out fully prepared for spring. The teams and Players who dedicate themselves this offseason will definitely have the leg up going into the spring, as most kids have now hit puberty and off season workouts will now show.

Crab should be great this spring. We walked 11 in one game and a made a few mistakes that cost us. Walked bases loaded to start the game, minimized the damage to 2, but after that we just couldn’t string enough hits together. And credit to ASBA West Chester they knew our players shifted played outfield at almost 300 feet in center and they only walked 3. Hats off to them for winning the ship. But we did beat them in pool play. And whom ever thinks the minute men are a b team, their not. They have 3 pitchers that can throw gas. The orioles were held to 1 run off their lefty and their closer against us stood 6’4”. Could of won the game but didn’t get the clutch hit when needed.

Got a chance to see API twice on Sunday and they are very impressive. Pitcher in the first game (believe on of the coaches sons) threw a CG against the Tide. It was a very impressive outing. The catcher in the finals was an absolute beast behind the dish. The young man must have blocked a dozen balls (text book blocking) with runners on 3rd. API is very well coached team, coaches were very cool as well as their players. It’s nice to see kids chat with other coaches in between games, it shows their maturity. All games played were very close and made for a good day of baseball.

Dave
I agree they have a very solid team. Made some nice additions this year. As stated before API will get better every year from 13u on up.
But to some that’s not acceptable to cut or recruit kids to make your team better.

Must be 1 specific person who thought juan was Coming to help coach their team but he didn’t leave Gambrills and now your teams down to 9 and your calling every other team possible to find your son a team.

Don’t know anything about this Lake Shore team or current 13u baseball but I wish if kids wanted to switch teams they did it before fall ball and tryouts start. So now I guess Lake Shore has 2 choices- try and poach a couple kids from another team then that team might have to disband Or disband themselves and hope 9 kids can find teams after most tryouts are over? It’s a per peeve of mine when kids/ parents do this. No problem whatsoever if a kid wants to switch teams but do it the at the right time .
