1980 wants their shirt back. There are plenty of Gambrills kids that can play for gorc, crofton, or any other club if they either don’t want to or dont make Gambrills.. All the feeder orgs like severna park are nonprofit and have travel teams with kids from all over. You’re a tool with no knowledge and part of the parent issue. So GAC is to fault themselves for being very competitive on a regional level? You make no sense. They have had just 2 teams recently in the past 10 that are bonofide legit. The other teams were average. Olney is the same way. Some years awesome, some average…..kids don’t all live in Olney You missed his point. Community organizations should never recruit players from another organization during their season. They should offer tryouts for everyone. They should never have anybody from their team contact a parent to try and sell their team. If the parent reaches out first, different story. We all know this is not the case with some of the GAC coaches. |

Last 2 PG events kid threw 7 innings that were straight nasty. Kid is very talented pitcher. MR community give it a break. If we only had kids from Gambrills we wouldn’t field a team. Gambrills is NOT a REC org, there is travel baseball only. Again please tell me whom we have recruited, and in season especially. I’ll sit here with my coffee and wait. Actually I’ll save you the time of thought..... We recruited one player at the end of a season. In season ..... Parents want their kids on the best team possible to push their kid to the next level and not suffice with mediocrity. |

True for some but some parents/kids want to play on a winning team
Whether it’s rec ball ,10u or 13u
Know of a few kids who turned down spots on a winning or better team
so they could play SS, pitch and hit higher in lineup but this rarely happens.
Remember a long time ago at 8u - 2 games a week. Team had 3 good pitchers. Realistically we could have thrown each kid 2 innings a game
Both games. After a game had a conversation with a parent who asked why we were using 5-6 pitchers each week and I explained that we would have a better record if we just threw the 3 kids but we needed to develop a staff for the future and for tournaments.
He said ok but he would be fine if we just tried to win with the 3 kids.

So Gross went to 5 Star is he going to Gambrills or is his dad who is a coach at api just trying to get him onto showcase team to player better teams?
