I’m going to sit down and review some things tomorrow and come up with an updated rankings. I noticed White Marsh did lose to Rawlings, but none of their top pitchers pitches and they were missing a few names off the lineup. Gambrills did lose to Fallston on a Sunday. Couple of teams went down and a couple teams improved their stock.

Calvert shut out complete Game Academy Hinkle 4-0 Thursday. They’re a good team and have common opponents here in your MD top 10 for some comparison.

Any news from the weekend at league games our tournaments? White Marsh won Sports at the Beach. They beat the Dulaney, Mid-Atlantic Shockers-A and Delaware Bomb Squad.

Evoshield went 1-4 I believe at PG in Georgia last week. Took 1 south River player with but not successful. Don’t think that team deserves the 3 spot

Debating on moving Rawlings ahead of EvoShield cause Rawlings has had a hell of a month. Talented group of kids and winning when it counts. Hard to give them full credit on the victory over White Marsh when WM didn’t throw their studs and borrowed a few plays for an exhibition game. Rawlings last loss was to Mid-Atlantic Red Sox

I would agree with the above rankings. Rawlings is very good and extremely deep with pitching so moving them up is probably justified. What have the Delmarva Aces done to shoot up to the 1 spot? I know they are good as I saw them in the Championship Game at Upper Chesapeake lose to White Marsh. Are they playing out of state a lot? Not sure Williamsport or BCC should be in front of Evoshield. granted Evoshield lost big in Perfect Game but they played some of the best teams in the Mid-Atlantic.

I have a question? Is Delmarva Aces a Maryland team. I thought they were Delaware based. However I do think they deserve the one spot if a Maryland based team.

They beat the defending 12u National Champions Tri-State Arsenal (13u now), plus other top teams in our area. I don’t think anyone doubts that Delmarva should be #1. Just gor off the phone with a buddy of mine that says they have two kids that can throw 85+. South River has a few studs that can bring it, along with WM. Gambrills has Edmonds that has hit 81, but consistent 76-79. Plus one or two others in the low-mid 70’s. I know Calvert has a few goos pitchers but haven’t seen them enough in Sunday action to get a good look.

They defeated the B team for Tri-State, Tri-state changes the names of their age group (a,b.c) teams all the time. Allen hits 80, and the other kids are low/mid 70s. They are based out of Berlin, MD. Most kids including Allen are DE residents but I would still include them here. I know velocity is sexy and the main way we can measure, but 80 flat and down the middle is 315' the other way...Allen throws down hill and has some secondary pitches but good teams get to him if he levels out. He would still be my first pick on my team if we were drafting a state team. Aces and South River are the best teams after that it drops off.

If they only beat the B steam then how can you say it’s SR Delmarva and a big drop off from there. I believe Gambrills White Marsh and Canes can beat anyone at anytime. Don’t think that is a big drop off??
