1. Delmarva Aces East 2. South River-Green 3. White Marsh 4. Gambrills Aces 5. Mid-Atlantic Red Sox 6. Calvert Tide 7. Williamsport 8. BCC Big Train 9. EvoShield Canes- Maxwell 10. Rawlings A’s Black 11. API 12. PAL 13. Mid-Maryland United 14. HCYP Blue 15. UMAC Debating on moving Rawlings ahead of EvoShield cause Rawlings has had a hell of a month. Talented group of kids and winning when it counts. Hard to give them full credit on the victory over White Marsh when WM didn’t throw their studs and borrowed a few plays for an exhibition game. Rawlings last loss was to Mid-Atlantic Red Sox UMAC lost to Hcyp b team in SF in tournament last weekend I would consider a 3rd MABA team ahead of them. Regarding the Canes-haven’t had a great season by any stretch but keep in mind they are playing a schedule most teams on this list do not play. So based on resume no problem with number 9 but in my opinion they are probably better than several teams above them.

If they only beat the B steam then how can you say it’s SR Delmarva and a big drop off from there. I believe Gambrills White Marsh and Canes can beat anyone at anytime. Don’t think that is a big drop off?? The b team of one of the top travel baseball organizations in the county. Their b team would beat most a teams in the state. I stand my statement about south river and aces, but maybe this fall some of these teams will run into each other and we can see what happens. Of coarse the rosters might change...

It would be nice to see some teams meet up. Gambrills hasn’t played anyone in the top 10 other than Mid-Maryland and Calvert. Hard to keep them high with loses to both and no other H2H’s. Accomplishment wise Gambrills won MABA league and tournament, and while that isn’t a big accomplishment given MABA was down this year they still won both.
There is a tournament coming up that has the following teams listed: (Gambrills will be without two of their productive players McNally and Hicks)
DC Dynasty - AA Damascus Cougars - AA White Marsh Warriors - AAA Mid Atlantic Red Sox - AAA Lakeshore BlueSox - AA Renegades Baseball - AA GC Brawlers Navy (NJ) - AA GC Brawlers Gold (NJ) - AA WHC Renegades Black - AA Gambrills Aces - AA Warriors BCCC - AA Outlaws (VA) - AA
There are a few teams in the middle of the pack, such as Rawlings Black, API, PAL, BCCC Warriors, and Big Train that will shake things up in the Fall with some roster changes. All teams listed have improved every year with solid coaching.

Not taking anything away from their coaches but at this level the teams with the most talent usually win.

API now has two former college players managing the team, and PAL has a High School coach managing the field. I’d say a combination of both, but API and PAL have had slight coaching changes over the few years. Yes, there are many teams that win due to superior players talent-wise and not necessarily coaching.

Good teams faced off this past weekend at USSSA including Richmond Braves, Keystone Nationals, Burtonsville, Sykesville and White Marsh. WM lost to Keystone in Championship Bracket Final 15-13 in an absolute back and forth slugfest. Another good one coming up next weekend at USSSA.

Outside of possibly Mutiny might have been best overall field in a Maryland tournament this year that wasn’t rained out. I know Delmarva and Seahawks have some hard throwers and are very good teams but if you look at tournament results White Marsh has had an outstanding year. I haven’t seen them play - do they have an ace pitcher?

USSSA results are in. GC Brawlers beat WM in finals 9-6 to win it. WM beat Gambrills 2-1 in an extremely well played game by both teams. Edmunds was on the mound and showed why he is a top 2-3 pitcher in the state. WM beat Gambrills & GC Brawlers A Team as well in Pool Play. Mid-Atlantic Red Sox got rolled by GC Brawlers A Team in semi finals. Cant imagine MA Red Sox should be in front of Gambrills in the rankings. As season comes down the stretch I would suggest the following rankings: 1. SR Seahawks 2. White Marsh 3. Del Marva 4. Gambrills 5. Evo Shield Canes 6. Rawlings Black 7. BCCC 8. Calvert Tide 9. Williamsport 10. Mid-Atlantic Red Sox WM absolutely has the most impressive tourney record but lost to SR twice. Cant imagine DelMarva is ranked ahead of WM.

Great suggestions and I agree with the top 3. I may be bias about 4th for Gambrills, but they most likely deserve it (my kid plays for them). I see some glaring issues with other rankings as some of those teams has some head scratching losses and not just one or two cases. Although there are a few that have really come on within the last month or so. Thanks for the suggestions and I’ll sort out an unofficial ranking ASAP.
